Chapter 1: The True Problem

• God shows himself to everyone, and thus holds everyone accountable
• He Lets us Choose what to Believe
• Appropriate results will follow our choices

Chapter 2 - The True Condition: We blame others while ignoring our own shame & God’s scales are evenly balanced
2:1-3; The Law trumps Sin
2:5-20; Sin trumps the Law
2:21-26; Faith trumps Sin!
2:27-31; Faith trumps Works!

Chapter 3 - The True Guilt
3:1-8; Lack of faith does not nullify God’s faithfulness
3:9-20; Everyone is Guilty
3:21-26; There is a Universal Provision for Righteousness
3:27-31; The Law established the necessity for Faith

4:1-8; We are Justified by Faith, not by Works
4:9-12; We are Justified by Faith, not by performance
4:13-17; We are Justified by Faith, not by DNA

Chapter 6 - True Choices
6:1-7; The salvation legalities have been taken care of, We are no longer slaves to sin.
6:8-10; He died once for all, not for part or for part-time
6:11-14; We sin not because we have to, but because we choose to.
6:15-23; The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. . . . for all

Chapter 7 - True Struggles
7:1-6; The dead don’t struggle with sin
7:7-13; Ignorance is not bliss
7:14-20; We sometime struggle from what we were to what we are
7:21-24; The body and mind are at war

Romans 8 - True Freedom. Period.
8:1-4; The Law had/has no Power!
8:5-8; Even believers can live after the flesh and not please God
8:9-11; Even the disobedient are His children
8:12-17; We are obligated to righteousness (change in behavior)
8:18-25; Everything waits for us to “Get with it!”
8:26-27; The Spirit knows we’re not up to speed yet, and is helping us
8:28-38; God’s Love is more powerful than anything!

Romans 9 - True Sovereignty
9:1-5; Not that they would be “saved”, but that they would see.
9:6-14; God destined all to “Election”
9:16-18; Our Salvation depends on God’s mercy, not our effort
9:19-29; We are destined for glory
9:30-33; Trusting God does not lead to shame

Romans 10 - True Faith
10:1-4; Zeal is no substitute for faith
10:5-13; Your words confirm/reveal what’s in your heart
10:14-15; Faith comes by hearing preaching by those sent due to their calling
10:16-21; Not everyone who hears, gets it

Romans 11 -  True Remnants
11:1-10; We never fully see what God sees
11:11-16; The part reveals the whole
11:17-24; Grafting is intended to produce a “Better Product”
11:25-32; All (even Israel) will be saved
11:33-36; God Does what He does, for Himself

Romans 12 - True Sacrifices
12:1-3; You are the best you have to offer
12:4-5; Keep a proper perspective on who you really are
12:6-8; We are all gifted differently
12:9-16; Practice real love, and then . . .
12:17-21; Do what you can to practice peace

Romans 13 - True Submission
13:1-7; The problem is not Government, it’s us.,  Honor what God has established
13:8-10; Live and Love like you mean it.
13:11-14; Behave yourselves

Romans 14 - True Strength
14:1-12; Most things don’t matter, Lighten up,
14:13-18; Mind your own business and Let it Go . . .
14:19-21; Live Peacefully With Others, Regardless of What You Think
14:22-23; It Is Only God’s Approval That Matters

Romans 15 - True Maturity
15:1-13; True Strength and Maturity Makes Allowances for Others
15:14-16; We Need Constant Reminders
15:17-22; It is easier to disciple, when you don’t have to “undo” someone else’s mistakes
15:23-29; When your work is finished in one place, move to another
15:30-33; We Need to Pull Together to Accomplish God’s Will.

Romans 16 - True Friendship
16:1-2; God does not respect gender, neither should we
16:3-4; We should always place ourselves at risk for those we love
16:5-16; It takes many hands and hearts to accomplish what God wants.
16:19-20; We are to be wise and proactive concerning the safety of the saints
16:21-23; Even those in government can serve God.
16:24-27; God’s intent is that all nations believe and obey the gospel.
